HOW DO I KNOW WHAT WORKOUT IS BEST FOR ME?

While we are happy to guide you in deciding which tape best suits you, only you know your own limitations. As you consider your personal exercise needs and limitations, we offer a Search By Medical Condition and Quick Workout Selection Guide pages to assist you in selecting a workout. Furthermore, the Medical Condition spreadsheet lists common chronic illnesses, and makes suggestions for these special needs, and the Video Selection Guide is a tool help you select which type of workout you prefer (e.g. fast-paced, slow-paced, all-sitting, etc.). WHY DOESN'T SIT AND BE FIT AIR IN MY CITY?

While we apologize for this inconvenience, it is not up to SIT AND BE FIT to decide where we air our episodes. We offer our episodes for free and encourage PBS stations to air our program, but it is the stations themselves that decide whether or not to air SIT AND BE FIT.

It is the voice of our audience that is more effective. If you wish to view the SIT AND BE FIT episodes for the first time, or to continue viewing the program but with greater frequency, the best way to make the request is to contact your local station manager and tell them how much you appreciate our senior exercise and fitness program. HOW DO I FIND OUT WHEN SIT AND BE FIT IS AIRING IN MY CITY?

If Sit and Be Fit is airing in your neighborhood, but you are not sure of the day and time, please visit our Weekly Station Guide page. This page is updated on a monthly basis according to information provided to us by TRAC Media Services. If your local station is not listed, then they are choosing not to air our program. If this is the case, please visit our PBS Contact Information page to find out how to contact your local PBS station program manager and request that they air SIT AND BE FIT.

If you do not know your local PBS station’s call sign (e.g. KSPS, KWSU, etc.), you can find it by turning on your TV and changing the channel to your PBS station is. The call sign should be in the lower right hand corner of the screen.


MY STATION AIRS SIT AND BE FIT AT A TIME THAT'S TOO EARLY. HOW CAN I CHANGE THE TIME WHEN IT AIRS?

SIT AND BE FIT does not decide when and where our program is aired. Since each PBS station decides if and when to air SIT AND BE FIT, the most effective way to request a schedule change is to contact your local station manager and voice your opinion.

ARE THE CITIES LISTED ON THE PBS STATION GUIDE PAGE THE ONLY CITIES WHERE SIT AND BE FIT AIRS?

No. The cities listed on the weekly Station Guide page are where the particular PBS station is located. This city is the where the station directs much of its signal, but it also serves the surrounding cities. If you live in a suburb or city near one listed on the PBS Station Guide page, there is a good chance that you receive that PBS station and can view SIT AND BE FIT. By taking a look at our PBS Contact Information page, you can find the phone number for the station nearest you and contact them to find out whether or not they air in your neighborhood.


HOW DO I PLACE MY ORDER ONLINE?

Ordering from SIT AND BE FIT online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is easy and convenient. However, our offices are open Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM until 4:30 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST). So, any orders placed late Friday afternoon or during the weekend will not be attended to until Monday morning.

All of our products are separated by category so you can easily find what you're looking for. Once you find a product you want to buy, simply enter it into your shopping basket and indicate the quantity of the item(s) you'd like to order. You can continue shopping at this point or complete your order. When you're ready, just click on the Proceed to Checkout button and follow the instructions on the checkout page to complete your order.


CAN I ORDER THE PROGRAM THAT I SAW ON TELEVISION TODAY?

SIT AND BE FIT offers a variety of workouts on video and DVD. However we are not able to produce, package, and sell every individual episode that is aired on PBS.

If you know the episode number of the program you watched today, please use the table below to determine if we sell that particular episode. If you are unsure of the episode number, please contact us at (509) 448-9438 and our customer service representatives will help to determine the particular episode number.

WHEN I TRY TO ORDER ONLINE, I RECEIVE AN ERROR MESSAGE STATING THAT MY ADDRESS IS INVALID. WHY?

If you have a relatively new address, or the street has just been created, there is a chance that your address cannot be found in our database. Another possible explanation is that you may be located outside of the United States (e.g. Canada, Europe, etc.).   If you are outside of the United States and would like to place an order, please call us at (509) 448-9438. Our offices are open from 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Friday PST.


CAN I PLACE MY ORDER BY PHONE OR FAX?

You can place your order by calling the office at (509) 448-9438 or fax your order form (document link) to (509) 448-5078.


WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards; checks; and money orders. We DO NOT accept purchase orders.

 

ARE ANY OF YOUR PROGRAMS AVAILABLE IN SPANISH?

SIT AND BE FIT offers two of our exercise programs in Spanish. The Tone & Stretch I (VHS) is completely dubbed in Spanish and the Balance and Fall Prevention Beginning Level DVD has the option of viewing the program in either English or Spanish.

SIT AND BE FIT is currently in the process of dubbing some of our workouts, although no release date has been determined yet.


DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS OR EXCHANGES?

Please Note: SIT AND BE FIT is a small, non-profit organization. As stated in our brochure on page 23, we have a strict return policy. We will gladly replace DEFECTIVE video tapes and DVDs for up to 90 days from your purchase date. Contact us in our office at (509) 448-9438 to find out how to replace your purchase. However, refunds or exchanges are not available. Anti-piracy regulations require this policy.

If you cannot use the video, we suggest the following:

Professionals: If your client or resident cannot do the exercises as shown, or maintain the same pace as the instructor, modify it or slow it down to suit the participant’s level

Individuals: Give the video to a friend, relative, or your local Senior Center, Nursing Home, Assisted Living Center, or Hospital. Your gift will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!


HOW DOES YOUR SHOPPING CART/BASKET WORK?

To add a product to your shopping basket, simply click on the Purchase button that is located on each product page and enter the desired quantity in the quantity box on the Shopping Basket page. At any time, you can view the contents of your basket by clicking on the Shopping Basket button. You can change the quantity of items or remove an item from your basket on the Shopping Basket page. When you are ready to check out, click on the Proceed to Checkout button and complete the required information on the Checkout page.


AM I CHARGED TAX?

For all orders shipped outside Washington state, no tax will be charged.

If your order is shipped to a Washington state address, you will be charged an 8.6% tax rate. However, beginning July 1, 2008 the state of Washington is imposing a Destination-based Sales Tax, whereby each customer will be charged a tax rate according to the location where the product(s) will be delivered.


DO YOU SHIP TO COUNTRIES OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES?

If you live outside the United States, to place an order, please call the SIT AND BE FIT office at (509) 448-9438. When you call, we will take your shipping information to our local post office to determine shipping costs.

While we can ship overseas, we do caution our overseas customers. All of our DVDs are NTSC formatted (the U.S. standard) rather than PAL (the European standard). If your DVD player is able to play both PAL and NTSC formats, then our DVDs would function in your player. We do, however, have VHS products in PAL format. Our PAL formatted VHS products include:
