Resources For Senior Fitness Instructors

  1. Continuing Education Courses – Human Kinetics publishes a continuing education course by Sit and Be Fit called Chair Exercise Basics. The course offers continuing education credits for professional from various disciplines. We highly recommend that senior fitness instructors and activity directors who work with the older adult population register for this valuable online course.  To learn more click here.
  2. Balance Enhancement Training (BET) – BET is a train the trainer balance and mobility improvement project created by Sit and Be Fit. The 3-4 hour training program was designed to provide senior fitness instructors and senior housing staff and administrators with skills and resources to help their clients reduce fall risk.   3. SAIL (Stay Active and Independent for Life) – Sit and Be Fit staff helps train SAIL instructors who reside in Washington State.
