Description
On this Sit and Be Fit Parkinson’s Workout, Parkinson’s specialist, David Greeley, MD, discusses what is currently known about this chronic disorder of the central nervous system. While Parkinson’s affects each person differently, Dr. Greeley emphasizes the need to exercise every day and offers exercise guidelines. Mary Ann Wilson, RN and Lori McCormick, PT present a cheerful and upbeat workout focusing on posture, breathing, balance, trunk mobility, ankle flexibility, and rhythmic stepping. Also included are simple but functional movements such as moving from a sitting to standing position and facial exercises.
Parkinson’s Workout II is the second in a series of workouts designed to meet the needs of those with Parkinson’s. (Released in 2006)
